you shouldn't have to use a utility to force the fans to max. if it's not running them as hard as it could, then it's badly designed. that's a choice on their part.

Totally agree. I hate having to force the fans higher when in clamshell mode. Ideally they could have a settings page to choose between quiet or cool.
