If you take the "two hard problems in computer science" quote seriously -- or if you simply consider that humans are part of the system -- then naming issues probably deserve careful attention. Then again, if humans are part of the system, it's also probably a good idea to use more reserve with coworkers than "jumping all over me" implies. |
