Interesting read. I suffer from psychosomatic insomnia so am no stranger to that constant fatigue and drag of lack of sleep. One thing I have noted is that, on the days that I actually do get a considerable amount of sleep and feel rested, I am overall happier, more motivated, and just in a better mood overall. Likewise, on the really rough days where I don't get much to no sleep, I'm irritable and all but useless at work and around the house. I've come to manage these days over the years, but I do note that things still bubble up and I am easily agitated. Interestingly enough, medicine to help me sleep does not result in a better mood, only that natural sleep. |
