Fall of 1996. guy on my freshman hall says "you should try linux". Installed slackware on everything I had for the next three years until finally switching to Debian. Fondest slackware memory is installing the media to a Syquest Ezflyer -- but I needed to boot with a bleeding edge linux 2.2 kernel to recognize the parallel port hard drive! |
