I would suggest that despite the country or the company or the culture you are working, you have to lead by example that means first you have to work hard to prove to the team that you are capable to lead them, both technical and leadership. When you lead by example, you set the standard for code, design patterns, documentation, etc. and as you go along build the tools, infrastructure, processes and culture. Don't expect to change everything overnight, it will take time, be patience and you have to trust people you will be working with. |
