It depends on your goals. Much of mathematics is training for specific goals (often narrow), while if your goal is simply to be exposed to many different things, you can get quite a lot of the intuition with knitting needles and drawings. As a mathematician and engineer, I bet this class is more like a "film history" class than a "principles of optics" or "CGI techniques" course. |
