It has given me peace of mind at work a couple times when I thought or said to management: “just bring the cluster down to 1 node, you can still support X users, and your server bill will be $500/year” Still probably designed more system than needed (cluster). But scarier than that was seeing some DC/OS apps with $5,000/month in server costs even without user load. |
