The surface area of attack is still lower. You need one more thing to be broken before this situation happens. If a hacker needed 3 things in place to own you, they now need 4 things. And a password manager exploit is a big 4th thing.

Great advice. I tell people that using a password manager is almost always better than not using one. Pick one that works for you and your devices and just use it.
