If you are on an island where a third of the population is struggling, e.g. bad crop yield, the whole population on the island will experience the negative effects as a whole. Solutions?
1. Build a wall around the less fortunate and allow some of the more able ones to work for less than you would otherwise pay. 2. Share the resources of the more fortunate with the less fortunate until they are back on their feet and are able to prosper. A persons good fortune isn't made in a vacuum. |
