My comment on this is https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17443263 Tl;DR? My problem with code review over email is that keeping track of all commentary and metadata is difficult when reviewing over email. This seems like a solvable problem with a text format for interleaving source and commentary that is suitable for post-processing, particularly one that makes merging commentary easy, and preferably too that makes changing commentary metadata (e.g., comment accepted/deferred/rejected/addressed status) possible while retaining the ability to merge commentary. |
