I think it's more about a town of 20k becoming completely altered by the influx of 200k people who came in as a group in order to reshape the area. Even if they were exactly my demographic (age, ethnicity, spirituality and all), the explicit intention of reshaping where I call home by these non-natives would give me pause. I think GP was trying to convey a similar feeling. |
