Asking someone to evaluate code that doesn't mean or do anything seems like a very poor idea. 90% of the important questions are whether you're doing the right thing in the first place, not whether you're using the Hot Trick of the Day.

Huh? (1) It's exactly the kind of code that you'll commonly see in a working line of business application. (2) The entire point of my comment is that I dislike hot tricks of the day as interview questions. What "hot trick of the day" do you see in my post?
