Einstein was characterized as smart but lazy by his teacher, so probably not. Middle class kids in his time were not expected to play outside freely the way American nostalgia runs now afaik either. More importantly, it is not about what you prefer, but how it impacts you. If you prefer gaming to job, but still sont miss important meetings, then it is not impacting you negatively. If your gaming is helping you to cope with bullying, then it is affecting you positively. If you ignore kids for weeks because you can't unglue yourself, despite feeling guilty about it, then it is affecting you negatively. (If you never cared about them in the first place, then it is non factor). |
