My guess is the guy worked for a Tier 1 auto supplier. It's probably the biggest reason why any company would open a field location in Detroit that's large enough to warrant the presence of several director-level staff. Also, it's quite typical that an auto OEM would contractually require a supplier to have safety inspectors at each site, so he may not have been as forgotten as he thought. Just a theory. |
