They sent me a W-9 to fill out. I think they might actually pay.

I won against them in small claims in Atlanta, and they sent me a W-9. I refused to fill it out and they still paid, after I got a court order approving a lien against their property. The judgment was for less than $200 though.

Why did you refuse to fill it out though?
I thought it was unnecessary, because the judgment amount was less than $600, which I believe is the reporting threshold for the payer.
What's a W-9? Tax form for judgement income?
Yep -- if you make over $600 (and mine was $600 + $90 for court costs) they have to send you a tax form and report it.
