You seem to be mostly right. In the past, VCs funded crazy moonshots and local banks funded sensible old-school companies with 10% per year growth and 15% profit/revenue ratios. Small community banks don't really exist anymore, and large banks don't really seem to be funding anything under $10 million nowadays, except mortgages. |
