Does he mean full-autonomy as in: "enter a destination and be done with it"? That would be an amazing jump forward from the current system.

Maybe in the event of a crash it can automatically issue a press release blaming the driver?

That would be pretty amazing, considering that the hardware in a Tesla is incapable of detecting and avoiding stationary obstacles.
