In my opinion, this move makes a lot of sense. The Safari Extensions Gallery was laughably outdated, similar to the Dashboard Widgets Gallery: https://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/ Switching to App Extensions brings Safari Extensions closer to how they behave on iOS. |
