Even China admits that it isn’t beating the USA in AI yet, the articles you are reading, at least if they are from Chinese sources, claim that they will be beating the USA in AI by 2020 or so. This is sort of a meme with the Chinese government, they make declarations about what will happen in the future, and then silently readjust their goals when the previously declared deadline passes. See for example http://reddit.com/china2020. Think of it as more of a pep rally for a sports match up (rah rah, we will win!). |
