It wouldnt even be hard emulation in a strict sense of the word. 8086 itself is microcoded. Anything from https://3.14.by/en/read/homemade-cpus will be able to run equivalent microcode. https://gigatron.io/ is about 1000 transistors/diodes, totally doable by hand if you are crazy enough. |
