Socialism by definition takes care of everyone equally. You can tell those regimes didn't actually believe in socialism, by how they oppressed the poor, the weak and those who were different (religiously, sexually and so on). |

I think this is far harder to implement than people assume. We still have many things in life that are non-fungible, the most obvious of which is probably housing location.
