Software is the highest leverage profession in the world right now. Perhaps in the early 1900's it was wildcatting for oil in Southern California. It minted billionaires like Getty, but it was tough work that required guile and cunning. Anytime there is a societal and technological dislocation, there are times of high leverage for individuals to create a lot of value. It just so happens software creates wealth right now. I think that's a great thing. |
