I specifically remember your quote "It is always better to not have a problem than to mitigate it" from the "Latency Mitigation Strategies" post on #AltDevBlogADay. It was so poignant to me that I wrote it on a post-it and stuck it to my monitor, where it remained for several years thereafter.
