Taking a remote job and moving to Oregon. I grew up in the mid-west and worked for a family-run real-estate business, it took a lot to leave that environment, but the housing crash of 2008 made it easier as it was a very real possibility that the company would go bankrupt. I got a remote-job and since I could live anywhere I took the opportunity to also get away from Indiana and I haven't looked back since. |
