Excellent advice. Imposter syndrome is very real and can cause people to low ball themselves but people should be asking for far more than they think. A contractor has to cover every benefit for himself and build a nest egg for downtime to boot. But for a new contractor what to charge seems to be the struggle. I exited contracting when the .com bubble burst. These days I'd want to charge double my previous rate, possibly more. |
