Because (a) it's complicated (https://www.bloomberg.com/news/features/2018-05-02/the-u-s-c...) and (b) investors are famously short-term thinkers and as is evident in some of the discussion here, the effects of global warming are just slow and opaque enough to fool a lot of people into thinking they don't exist. ...and this is granting that investor interest is a good way to evaluate how sound the science is on some subject, and I don't think that's a position I'd agree with. |
