Traditionally, Oracle make their software available to anyone with a development license, meaning you are not allowed to use it in production for commercial use. This isn't so unusual, Red Hat's JBoss can be freely downloaded, but you need to click accept on a license agreement. What this means is that there is nothing to stop you from using the software for commercial purposes, but you need to be prepared for a visit from Oracle's lawyers. |
