I think it is a great post, and having been through the process, it is absolutely accurate for me and speaks volumes. The fact that there are exceptions to the rule only reinforces the rule. Nothing is absolute, except for the predictable reaction of the people who will attack anything they can come up with a counter example for, usually involving Apple or Google (or some other one in a billion type exceptions).
