I downloaded the app and went past the permissions screen. I was greeted with a blank page, list button grayed out, all I could do was open settings. I had to quit the app and reopen it.

Hmm that's weird. That means that the EventKit API was unable to fetch your reminders on that particular launch. It should be an anomaly though.
