That's great to hear. Recently (some months), myself and a friend got past through the same situation than yours. We have a project we were building at night for some other months and then we thought we should be courageous and give it shot and jump into the adventure of leaving you day-job to create a startup. With some dedicated search through our contacts, we have found an investor willing to help us feed our funds too and we have been making real progress towards our company's success. I must say, it has been great to work with my own project and a fellow partner that helps me through ups and downs to create this reality for us. :-) Everything just depends on our own effort and willingness. It's hard at first, but once we'd crossed that path, its invigorating that we can live without 9-5's.. :).. Thanks Hacker News to make us meet so many great people! Best wishes for you all.
