It's kind of ridiculous to pretend that the App Store isn't also filled with trash.

There are some excellent things (especially in security and privacy) you can depend on Apple's review either catching or warding off, but poor app quality is definitely not on that list.

(and as others have noted, far more apps are built with web views than you apparently realize)
