There is actually a semi-official categorization that Tesla seems to ignore https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Autonomous_car#/Levels_of_drivin... pilots are level 3 upwards according to this classification. Level 2 systems are called assistants. If tesla would adhere to the industry agreement, they would call their system an "assistant" and not a pilot. |
