The literally hundreds of posts on HN about it being a problem are data that it is. And that's a tech-savvy crowd that theoretically would know the limitations of the system.
There are literally hundreds of posts on HN claiming that it's a problem. That's data for it being a commonly-held belief, not data for it being a problem with actual Tesla drivers.
The only posts I saw on HN are claiming that it is a problem. If anything, that's evidence that it's not actually a problem, because people are recognising that it _might_ be misleading, rather than _being_ misled.
