This is a frustrating article. The regulation in GDPR is not new! It's a refinement of long existing law (in England this is the DPA, and PECR). If it's illegal under GDPR it was probably already illegal under PECR. All this stuff about "ZOMG we need informed consent before we send email"? You already need that. |
