If you would like to read a fantastic book about the history of Fiber Optics, I would suggest this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0195162552 I found it fascinating and shows the development from first concept through research phases to practical/commercial uses. It's a few years old now, but should be good for a lot of information anyway. |
