Certainly! But the answer may not be as interesting as you perhaps had hoped. I'm just a hobbyist and have been slowly teaching myself the basics for the past couple years. I keep the two books by my desk to double check calculations and to aid my imagination when I've come up with something to create. So far my most proud accomplishment is designing a binary adder in EAGLE and getting the PCB manufactured.
