A lot of submissions have overlap with the politics of the moment, but that doesn't mean the discussion should cross straight into that. On the contrary, we should mostly resist doing so. On HN, the idea is to focus on the diffs, which are what's interesting, and try not to rush into the shallow hotness that makes all discussions the same. Repetition isn't interesting. |
