I’m not justifying the use in this article, but it does mean something. In particular “aerospace” aluminum is a particular range of alloys around 92% pure AL content. It’s use in aerospace applications is based on its thermal stability, strength, lightness and resistance to wear and cracking. To be honest, I’m not sure that what makes a good regenerative cooler for an upper stage rocket engine makes the best lens case, but it sounds cool right? shrug |
