I once has to log time on everything. It was a tempting workaound to log time to the wrong ticket (still one of mine though) so that none of the tickets go over estimate, so I wouldn't be taken to task. I even thought of writing a tool to keep the mapping of real ticket to fake ticket.

Also better to try and get more nebulous work that can carry a higher estimate/ buffer in the first place. And never refactor in the same ticket. Create a new one. But that won't get done so just let it go.
