I won't beat about the bush. If you don't understand the laws, or don't know how to keep your stack secure, YOU SHOULD NOT COLLECT PERSONAL DATA!

Ignorance isn't an excuse.

It is a burden. It's supposed to be a burden. It's supposed to make it harder for companies to amass toxic dumps of sensitive data, that go onto get hacked. And to stop the Facebooks of the world weaponising every anecdote they can link to you.

It's a good set of measures. It's just going to be a cock to comply with some times. I get that. I'm going to have to comply with it. But I'm happy that companies I deal with will also have to deal with it, for my sake, as a consumer.
