Agreed. I submitted a couple of patches to Rails recently and I would have been far more reluctant to try to make fixes if I hadn't been able to verify them with a fairly extensive test suite. People get too dogmatic about testing and particular testing methodologies but testing in general is a very powerful and useful tool when used wisely. |
