Oh I do not doubt that some of the stuff in the Bible is true. It is a book about genealogy of course. But that does not prove God in any form. Well that's the thing, you can't prove something exists. It doesn't work that way. You can prove it does exist though, and that's how I'm interpreting your statement. Since you mention Pascal's Wager one could also mention Douglas Adams "'I refuse to prove that I exist,' says God, 'for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing.'". And so if we did prove God exists then you wouldn't need faith which is what is being asked for. |
