It is typical to label the fiscal year by the date of the end of the period. This distinction doesn't matter when your fiscal year is Jan - Dec, but comes up in this case If your fiscal year goes from Feb 1 2017 - Jan 21 2018, then that is commonly referred to as FY 2018 |
