gifsicle and the lossy version are both GPL-licensed. That's a deal-breaker for Apple (by their own choosing), but not a problem for the gifsicle project. I think the reason for change not being accepted upstream is that the amount of complexity added exceeds amount of free time the upstream maintainer has. |
