Ugly in "style" or ugly in appearance?

It might be the animation style, though it's not that different from Bojack Horseman, which I like a lot.

Maybe it's the pose of the characters. For example, the hand wave of the white ladybird feels unnatural, somehow.

For what it's worth, I disagree with lima. I love them.
