I recall the 90s, esp. after the OKC bombing, having a lot more talk about militias. The media also plays up cartel violence or, usually black/Latino, gang violence more than we've ever seen discussion of the Aryan Brotherhood or, at the very least, classifying abortion clinic attacks/bombings (typically done by white Christians) as terrorist attacks.
