I don't have a vinyl cutter yet. I'm looking at the Silhouette Curio, Portrait 2, and the Brother Design N Cut. I like my other Brother products and would ordinarily choose them, but I don't know anything about their protocol. Silhouette has been very open about their protocol in the past[1].
