Instead of take home challenges, I think I would rather give a potential employee some code snippet and ask them to explain to me in their own way as to what is going on and if they see/find any particular issues. This will theoretically let me gauge their attention to detail. Ideally I think it would show me how familiar they are with the programming language the snippet was written in as well. |
