Before I accept a take-home project, I explicitly lay out what I will do and the maximum amount of time I will spend doing it. I've walked away from companies that demanded more than I was willing to give. I dislike take-home tests less than I dislike whiteboard interviews, so I try to be flexible, without being a pushover. |
