Like Tesla, I think the other manufacturers are constrained by the supply of battery cells. In order for GM or Ford or Toyota or whoever to "leave Tesla in the dust", they would need to fix that somehow. Maybe some of the major car manufacturers will build their own battery plants or some new supplier will fill the market demand, but that takes time. Until then, the incumbent manufacturers will continue to sell mostly gas cars because they have no alternative. |
